  • Jim “Pops” Morrison – Post Everlasting

Sad News.... Today We lost one of our own. Jim "Pops" Morrison. Pops was loved by All and an absolute Patriot. On his worst days Pops mounted his Harley and rode to the Missions regardless. He stood for those who had fallen even when he himself could barely stand. We all have so much respect for Pops, and he will be forever missed. In Honor of his faithful service to our Final Salute missions we will dedicate an American Flag with his name on it so that he will forever be at each Mission with us. (Pops was U.S. Navy and Vietnam Veteran.)

He is free now and without pain. I'm sure he is eating the largest steak in Gods kitchen as we speak and shaking hands with all of the Heroes that he stood for all of these years. Rest Easy Brother, We will all stand for you soon, until then, We have the Watch. Further information will be available on the “Guy Rathbun Memorial Post 25” Facebook Page when arrangements are known. (Scott Mathews, Post 25, Kelso)

Dear Heavenly Father, we bring to You more sorrows and grief with the passing of Jim “Pops Morrison. We humbly ask that You be with his family and friends in these difficult times. Blessing them with You comfort that only You can give. Pops was important to so many people with his dedication and example of Patriotism, and we Thank You for bringing him into our lives. May we be worthy of his memory and let us not ever forget him or his sacrifices for our country and the American Legion Mission. All this we ask in Your Holy Name. Amen.
