On March 23rd, Department of Washington crowned a new Department Champion for 2024! Congratulations to Aubrey Jane Moore. Aubrey Jane will receive a $2,000 scholarship from the Department of Washington and an expenses paid trip to Hillsdale, Michigan in May to participate in the National Finals Contest where she will share in over $203,000 in scholarships to be awarded there. Aubrey Jane is a homeschooled sophomore who was sponsored by Post 186 in Seattle.
A total of 12 contestants participated in two semi-final contests in the morning and the top 2 from each contest advanced to the afternoon finals contest.
